Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Festival, in partnership with the Opéra national de Paris, has successfully concluded the historic co-production of Pelléas et Mélisande, directed by renowned Lebanese-Canadian playwright Wajdi Mouawad and conducted by Antonello Manacorda.
This groundbreaking collaboration, the first of its kind between a Middle Eastern institution and the prestigious Paris Opera, underscores Abu Dhabi Festival's commitment to fostering international cultural partnerships and artistic excellence.
Premiering on 28 February 2025 at Opéra Bastille in Paris, the production ran until 27 March, drawing an audience of over 22,000 across nine performances, including a special avant-première for young audiences under 28.
